Giants Pitcher Placed On Injured List

The San Francisco Giants have placed Alex Cobb on the 15-day injured list.

This isn't the first time Cobb has missed time this season due to injury. Unfortunately, it's been a rough year for the veteran in general, as he has a 5.73 ERA in his first eight starts as a Giant. However, once he is healthy again, he will be aiming to turn things around.

The Giants certainly can't be too thrilled that Cobb has to miss time again. This is because they are trying to catch up to the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres in the NL West. Alas, here's to hoping that Cobb can return to action as soon as this 15-day stint on the IL is over.
