Giants Designate Infielder For Assignment

The San Francisco Giants have designated Kevin Padlo for assignment. 

The Giants acquired Padlo from the Mariners earlier this season as a way to boost their infield depth. Since then, he has played in four games with the Giants, where he has two hits in 12 at-bats. With that, he has been struck out four times.

The Giants will now have until the end of the week to either waive or trade Padlo. There could be teams willing to take a chance on the 14-game veteran. Alas, time will tell on that front.
