Diamondbacks Claim Infielder Off Waivers

The Arizona Diamondbacks have added to their depth, as they have claimed Cole Tucker off waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates.

After a four-year tenure with the Pirates, Tucker was designated for assignment. However, he has now found a new home with the Diamondbacks and will be aiming to cement himself as an everyday player from here.

Tucker's overall versatility could help him maintain a spot on their major league roster. He is capable of playing shortstop, second base, and the outfield, so he has multiple ways to get into the lineup.

In 154 career games, he has five home runs, 35 RBIs, and a .211 batting average. Let's see if he gets the chance to build on these totals with the D-Backs.
