The twenty-seven year old's recovery was put on pause five days ago, due to continued soreness in one of his fingers.
Seiya Suzuki (strained left ring finger) is feeling better daily since shutting down hitting & will take dry swings today, Ross said.

Ross acknowledged slow process but Suzuki is improving: “If the pain & swelling get out of there, I think the process will move pretty quickly.”
Suzuki was having a solid rookie season before injuring his finger while attempting to steal second base in a game against the Cincinnati Reds on May 26th. Prior to the injury, Suzuki was batting .245 and had recorded 4 homeruns, 21 RBIs, and 3 stolen bases over 41 games.
The fielder will likely need a rehab assignment before returning, as he has been away from baseball activities for nearly a month.
