Cubs Designate Outfielder For Assignment

The Chicago Cubs have designated Clint Frazier for assignment.

Frazier was released by the New York Yankees during the offseason and inked a deal with the Cubs for the 2022 season. The former top prospect came into the season with the expectation of bouncing back from last season, but it just hasn't come to fruition. In 19 games with the Cubs, he had zero home runs, one RBI, and a .216 batting average.

The Cubs now have until the end of the week to either trade or place Frazier on waivers. Perhaps a team will take a look at him in hopes of reaching his potential.
