By George! Jason Alexander Set To Make MLB Debut
Could this be The Summer Of George in Milwaukee? Jason Alexander (the pitcher, not the Seinfeld actor) has been selected by the Milwaukee Brewers, and will make his major league debut Wednesday night.
The Brewers, of course, have been riddled with injuries to their starting rotation, with first Freddy Peralta and now Brandon Woodruff on the shelf. Alexander will now take a turn in the rotation, after pitching to a nice, neat 2.64 ERA at Triple-A Nashville this season through 7 starts and 9 appearances, with a 1.09 WHIP.
The 29-year-old Alexander has made his way through a few organizations in his five seasons in the minors, and he signed a minor league contract with the Brewers this past offseason. His performance at Nashville has earned him a look-see in The Show.
Of course, with the name Jason Alexander, the expected jokes and memes were making the rounds in anticipation of his debut.

Do you think Jason Alexander gets sent back down to the minors later in the month due to, uh, roster shrinkage pic.twitter.com/zIPTpIIeHB

In honor of Jason Alexander's first career start for the Brewers today, I'm wearing pants that swoosh while I walk.

We could go on and on, but the Assistant To The Traveling Secretary says we need to move on.
