Braves Claim Infielder Off Waivers

The Atlanta Braves have claimed Mike Ford off waivers from the Seattle Mariners.

Ford has had a pretty eventful season, as he is set to join his third team this very season with the Braves. In 17 games between the Giants and Mariners thus far, he has zero home runs, three RBIs, and a .182 batting average. If he gets into action for the Braves, he will be aiming to improve on his numbers from here.

At worst, the Braves have added more infield depth to their roster. Yet, Ford has shown in the past that he can have some success when it comes to his power. This was made abundantly clear during his rookie season with the Yankees, as he had 12 home runs in only 50 games. Let's see if he can find some of the magic again as a Brave.
