Braves Call Up Infielder
The Atlanta Braves have called up Phil Gosselin from Triple-A Gwinnett. This move is in response to Ozzie Albies fracturing his foot.
Gosselin spent the 2021 season with the Los Angeles Angels and appeared in 104 games. During them, he had seven home runs, 47 RBIs, and a .261 batting average. That wasn't a bad year at all for the utilityman, so he will be aiming to replicate that form while called up.
Gosselin is no stranger to playing the big leagues, either. In 463 career games between the Braves, Pirates, Rangers, Reds, Phillies, and Angels, he has 17 home runs, 101 RBIs, and a .261 batting average. Let's see how much he improves on these numbers from here.
