Braves And Pirates Make Trade
The Atlanta Braves have acquired Jacob Webb from the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for cash considerations.
Webb is a very familiar face to the Braves organization, as he just finished a three-year tenure with them after last season. In 78 games with Atlanta over that time frame, he had a 9-4 record to go along with a 2.47 ERA. Overall, he definitely had success, so perhaps going back will help him regroup.
Webb has spent the entirety of this season with Triple-A Reno, it's fair to say he has struggled. In six games, he sported a 10.13 ERA. That led the Pirates to designate him for assignment, but now he's getting a second chance with the Braves. Let's see how he performs from here.
