Blue Jays Sign 15-Year Veteran For Bullpen
The Toronto Blue Jays have been in desperate need of some "relief" for their overworked, and underperforming bullpen. Today, they've made a bit of inroads, with the signing of 15-year veteran reliever Sergio Romo.

Most known recently as the pitcher who pulled his pants down in deference to the new sticky stuff crackdown last season, Romo is also somewhat known as a decent late-inning reliever, with 137 saves on his resume.

The 39-year-old Romo was recently cut loose by the Seattle Mariners, after getting off to a dreadful start to the 2022 season, with an 8.16 ERA in 14 innings.
His last strong season was 2019 when he registered 20 saves for the Miami Marlins and Minnesota Twins with a 3.43 ERA.
Earlier in his career, he earned an All-Star nod in 2013, and was part of three World Series teams with the San Francisco Giants.
Unfortunately for Blue Jays fans, that was then, and this is now.
We'll see if Romo can recapture a bit of the old magic, north of the border.
