Blue Jays' Lefty Heads Back to IL With Recurrence Of Injury
After a solid three innings Wednesday night, Toronto Blue Jays' starter Hyun Jin Ryu had loads of trouble in the 4th, and never resurfaced for the 5th. Turns out he's had a recurrence of a left forearm injury, and is headed for the IL.

He's been placed on the 15-day IL with what's being called left forearm inflammation. The real concern here is that Ryu missed four weeks of the season earlier on with the same injury.
The 35-year-old has made a total of six starts this season, and owns a 2-0 record with an impressive 16:4 K:BB ratio, but it all comes along with a 5.33 ERA.
Right-hander Jeremy Beasley is up from Triple-A Buffalo, and he'll join the Jays bullpen, while manager Charlie Montoyo says that Mr. Do Anything You Need, Ross Stripling, will slot into Ryu's spot in the rotation.
The 26-year-old Beasley is off to a blistering start at Buffalo, sporting a 1.01 ERA and a 0.75 WHIP in 26.2 innings. He's striking out 10.5 batters per 9 innings, and should be a nice addition to the bullpen, to replace Stripling.
