Athletics Pitcher Heading To Triple-A

The Oakland Athletics have sent Domingo Tapia down to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Tapia was recently called up to the A's but struggled when called upon. In his two appearances with the team, he allowed four earned runs on six hits in just 1.1 innings pitched. With this, it is a bit understandable that Oakland has elected to send him back to Las Vegas. 

Luckily for Tapia, he still has a spot on their 40-man roster, so he could get another chance later in the season if he performs well in Vegas. The 30-year-old pitched well there this season, as he had a 3.38 ERA in his first 13 games. Alas, we will have to wait and see if another call-up is in his future.
