Athletics Pitcher Designated For Assignment

The Oakland Athletics have designated Gabe Klobosits for assignment.

Klobosits was claimed off waivers from the Washington Nationals by the A's earlier this season. Since then, he has spent the entirety of this season with Triple-A Las Vegas. It is fair to say that he has struggled with the team, as he has a 0-1 record and 7.59 ERA in 11 games. Thus, it makes sense that Oakland is opting to remove him from their 40-man roster.

The A's now have until the end of the week to either trade or place Klobosits on waivers. Perhaps another club could be willing to take a chance on the 6-foot-7 pitcher. Let's see what happens on that front.
