Angels Tried A Very Unique Method To Try To End Losing Streak
Heading into Wednesday night's game with a 13-game losing streak, the Los Angeles Angels were ready to try just about anything to right the ship. Even resorting to using Nickelback as their walk-up music. Yes, you read that correctly.
People: I can report that every Angels player will walk up to Nickleback tonight. The coaches decided it as a way to shake things up. So, if the Angels snap their losing streak tonight, you can thank Nickleback.

OK, I have the song list ...
— Alden González (@Alden_Gonzalez) June 9, 2022
Ohtani: "Photograph"
Adell: "Rockstar"
Walsh: "How You Remind Me"
Duffy: "Someday"
Lagares: "If Today Was Your Last Day"
Marsh: "When We Stand Together"
Mayfield: "What Are You Waiting For?"
Suzuki: "This Afternoon"
Wade: "Animals"
Yes, from Shohei Ohtani's "Photograph" at the top of the order, all the way down to "Animals" for Tyler Wade in the 9-spot, every single Angel had a Nickelback walkup song.
Unfortunately, the "How You Remind Me" of Jared Walsh must have "reminded" them of the funk they've been in, and the Angels went on to lose their 14th straight, 1-0 to the Boston Red Sox. Let's just say they weren't "Rockstars" on this night.
As for when they might break back into the win column, we'll go with Matt Duffy's "Someday."
