Angels Bring Back Outfielder For Second Go-Round
After getting one crack at making the Los Angeles Angels earlier this season, outfielder Dillon Thomas is getting a second chance. He's been claimed off waivers from the Houston Astros.

In a corresponding move, RHP Kyle Barraclough has been designated for assignment.
Thomas had been signed to a minor league contract this past offseason by the Angels, but only got into one game in the majors, despite a solid Triple-A run with the Salt Lake Bees, hitting .295 with an .887 OPS and 8 home runs. He was designated for assignment after his lone game, and the Astros claimed him on waivers.
The 29-year-old has 11 years of minor league service, but only 5 games of big league action to show for it. He's always fared well in the upper minors, so perhaps another shot at The Show is forthcoming from the Angels in the near future. For now, though, he's back at Salt Lake.
To make room, the Angels designated Kyle Barraclough for assignment.
