Yankees Star Placed On Injured List

The injury bug just will not leave the New York Yankees alone, and they will now be without one of their stars. This is because Giancarlo Stanton has been placed on the 10-day injured list with ankle inflammation.

Given Stanton's importance to the Yankees' roster, they will be hoping that the veteran can return to the lineup as soon as these next 10 days pass. However, with his injury being an ankle one, it's hard to determine if he will need to miss more time following it. 

It's been another strong season for Stanton in 2022, so his power in the lineup will be notably missed. In 40 games thus far, he has 11 home runs, 35 RBIs, and a .285 batting average.
