Yankees Sign Pitcher
The New York Yankees have signed Danny Salazar to a minor league contract.
Salazar's last appearance in the majors occurred back during the 2019 campaign. In his one game that season, he surrendered two earned runs in four innings pitched. Now, in 2022, he will be hoping to land himself a promotion from the Yankees.
Serious injury trouble is the primary reason for Salazar's absence from the majors. However, before all of them, he was an effective pitcher. In 109 career games with Cleveland, he sports a 38-34 record and 3.82 ERA. With that, he also was an All-Star back in 2016. Let's see if he can fight his way back to the sport's most competitive league from here.
