White Sox Star Leaves Game Injured
Chicago White Sox star Tim Anderson left Sunday's game early due to a groin injury. He had to be helped off the field, so there's a good chance that an injured list stint of some kind will be in order from here.
Anderson has been having such a spectacular season, so this injury is just brutal news. In 39 games thus far, he has five home runs, 19 RBIs, and a very impressive .354 batting average. However, with this injury, it seems very likely that this great start will now have to be put on pause.
The ChiSox have a 22-23 record and trail the Twins by 5.0 games at this point of the season. Thus, they are already not in the best place in the standings and now will have to try to catch them without their top hitter in Anderson.
