White Sox Call Up Infielder
With Andrew Vaughn being placed on the 10-day injured list, the Chicago White Sox are calling Danny Mendick back up to the major league squad.
This is a good opportunity for Mendick to show the White Sox that he belongs in the majors. He already has appeared in 10 games with Chicago this season and performed fairly well at the plate. In 20 at-bats, he has one home run, three RBIs, and a .250 batting average. Now, with this call-up, he will be aiming to build on these numbers and stick around in the process.
Mendick has played with the White Sox in each of the last four seasons. In 130 career games with them, he has eight home runs, 33 RBIs, and a .239 batting average.
