Angels staff and players had to carry him out and into the clubhouse, where he appeared to collapse. He was taken to a nearby hospital for further testing. He was diagnosed with a neck contusion.
Luckily, the crazy situation took a turn for the better a few hours after the game, as Suzuki was feeling "much better," and manager Joe Maddon said he might even be available to play on Sunday.
“It was kind of funky,” Maddon said. “I don’t know if he actually did. We took him downstairs, put him on the floor in the runway down there. The trainers were right there. The medics were right there ... It was a weird moment, no question.”
