Tigers Promote Pitcher

The Detroit Tigers have called up Alex Faedo to their major league roster.

Faedo, a 2017 first-round pick, is set to make his first career major league start against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday. Naturally, all eyes will be on the prospect, as he will be aiming to leave a very good first impression.

Before this year, Faedo had not pitched in game action since the 2019 season after having Tommy John surgery. However, even with so much time away from the mound, he has earned this excellent call-up to Detroit. In his lone start this campaign with Triple-A Toledo, he pitched five scoreless innings. Thus, he is joining the Tigers while hot.

Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see how Faedo does during his first career start. Here's to hoping it's a good one for the rookie.
