Tigers Pitcher Heading To Injured List

While speaking with the media, Detroit Tigers manager AJ Hinch announced that Michael Pineda has a fractured middle finger. Due to this, there's no question that he will be heading to the injured list.

Pineda agreed to a deal with the Tigers before the start of the season and has been solid. In three starts, he may have a 1-2 record, but he also sports a 3.22 ERA. Thus, he has been effective but hasn't been getting enough run support to secure a winning record.

However, Pineda's solid start now has to be put on pause due to this injury. We will have to wait and see how long this injury keeps him out, but don't be surprised if he misses a handful of starts at least.
