Tigers Pitcher Elects Free Agency
After clearing waivers, Detroit Tigers pitcher Drew Hutchinson has elected to become a free agent.
Hutchinson will now be hoping to find another home in the majors from here. In 10 games this season with the Tigers, the 31-year-old had a 0-3 record and 4.60 ERA. Overall, he had some decent moments, but it ultimately wasn't enough for him to stick around in Detroit.
Hutchinson's high amount of experience could help his chances of landing a new contract from here, too. In 117 career games between the Blue Jays, Pirates, Phillies, Rangers, and Tigers, he has a 35-27 record, 4.96 ERA, and 440 strikeouts. Let's see where the veteran ends up from here.
