Tigers Outfielder Inching Closer To Return
Detroit Tigers outfielder Austin Meadows has been out since mid-May due to vertigo symptoms. Yet, it appears that he is thankfully starting to feel better, as he is beginning a rehab assignment, according to manager AJ Hinch.
Meadows is somebody who the Tigers definitely want back in their lineup as they aim to get back into the playoff conversation. In 28 games so far this season, he has yet to hit a home run, but he also has a solid .267 batting average. Thus, he has been hitting fairly well for contact. Perhaps his power numbers will come back once he is healthy.
Alas, here's to hoping that everything goes smoothly for Meadows during his rehab stint in the minor leagues.
