Tigers Claim Infielder Off Waivers
The Detroit Tigers have claimed Brendon Davis off waivers from the Los Angeles Angels.
Davis was recently removed from the Angels' 40-man roster, and the Tigers have now taken advantage of that. The 24-year-old will now be hoping to not only make his major league debut in Detroit but also cement himself a permanent spot on their roster in the process.
In 36 games this season with Triple-A Salt Lake, he had six home runs, 25 RBIs, and a .243 batting average. This was after he had eight home runs and a .333 batting average in 31 games with the squad, so he definitely is capable of being more of a threat at the plate. Let's see if he can replicate similar totals with the Tigers from here.
