Ronald Acuna To Have MRI
Just back for 2 1/2 weeks after recovering from ACL surgery, Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. will be undergoing an MRI because of left groin soreness. Thankfully it's not related to his surgically repaired right knee.
Acuna has missed the last three games with the groin issue.
Originally listed as day-to-day, Braves manager Brian Snitker said "He came in sore (again Saturday), so they’re going to have him do an MRI just to make sure nothing’s going on."
The Braves are hoping Acuña's MRI results will be available today. Unless, there's a chance for him to play within the next couple days, they have to think about the injured list. You don't want him hurting the knee by compensating. Plus, the bench is already painfully short.

As noted by Braves beat reporter Mark Bowman, the concern is that you don't want Acuna compensating on account of the sore groin, and possibly putting extra stress on the knee.
The 24-year-old superstar was just reinstated on April 28th after missing 9 months with a torn ACL. He seems to be fully recovered from that, as he's hitting .282 with a .391 OBP, an .878 OPS, two home runs, and 5 stolen bases in 5 attempts.
Acuna Jr. won the 2018 rookie of the year, and has already made two All-Star teams in his first four years in the majors. He owns a .281 career average and a .924 OPS with 107 HR and 83 SBs.
