Reds Throw No-Hitter... And Still Lose Game
How low can this season go for the Cincinnati Reds? How about throwing a no-hitter—and still coming out with an 'L'?
0 hits, 1 win.

"How in this world?" exclaimed the Pittsburgh Pirates broadcast crew.
The Reds lose a game in which they allowed no hits, becoming only the sixth team to do since at least 1901. The last was the Angels on June 28, 2008.

Unbelievable — yet so very believable for the 2022 Cincinnati Reds.
It's only the 6th time in the long history of major league baseball that a team has pitched a no-hitter and still lost. The Reds are now 9-26, and the losing is getting comical at this point.
Rookie starter Hunter Greene threw 7.1 of those no-hit innings against the Pirates, a whopping 118 pitches worth, and left a 0-0 game after walking two in the 8th inning. Reliever Art Warren completed the no-hitter, but not before walking the bases loaded, and then watching Pittsburgh's Ke'Bryan Hayes ground into a run-scoring forceout for the only run.
