Reds Designate Pitcher For Assignment

The 3-22 Cincinnati Reds are desperately trying to fix their atrocious start to the 2022 season. Now, they are making another change to their 40-man roster, as they have designated Buck Farmer for assignment.

Farmer made the Reds' major league roster after signing a minor league deal during the offseason. Yet, much like the Reds entirely, Farmer hasn't had much success in 2022. In 10 appearances with the club, he has a 0-0 record and 6.75 ERA. Now, he will be placed on waivers or traded before the end of the week. 

Farmer comes with a lot of overall MLB experience, so perhaps a team in need of some bullpen help could give him a call - even with his current struggles. In 251 career games between the Tigers and Reds, he has a 15-21 record and 5.38 ERA.
