Reds Claim Pitcher Off Waivers
The Cincinnati Reds have claimed Robert Dugger off waivers from the Tampa Bay Rays.
Dugger has appeared in one game this season for Tampa. In it, he allowed three runs on eight hits in 5.1 innings pitched. Overall, it wasn't the best of ways to start the season, but he will now be hoping to improve upon it as a member of the Reds.
Being claimed by the Reds could be a very good occurrence for Dugger, too. At this juncture, they have multiple starters out with injuries, so he should see major league time shortly. If he performs well, he could find himself a secure home there.
In 24 career games between the Marlins, Mariners, and Rays, Dugger has a 0-6 record and 7.22 ERA.
