Red Sox Promote Outfielder
The Boston Red Sox are calling up Jarren Duran from Triple-A.
The Red Sox need a boost badly, as their 2022 season has been pretty horrible for their standards. At this juncture, they have a 10-16 record and are fourth in the AL East. With that, they are continuing to fall further and further back from the Blue Jays, Rays, and Yankees. If things don't change shortly, it will be a long season in Beantown. With their offense being horrendous, perhaps Duran can help.
Duran appeared in 33 games with the Red Sox last season. During them, he had two home runs, 10 RBIs, and a .215 batting average. His career didn't start off amazingly, but when looking at his 2022 season thus far, it's hard not to feel optimistic. In 15 games in Triple-A, he has two home runs, 11 RBIs, and an impressive .397 batting average. During his whole minor-league career, he has 26 home runs, 120 RBIs, and a .312 batting average in 274 games.
