Red Sox Pitcher Has Surgery

Boston Red Sox pitcher Darwinzon Hernandez is expected to miss a good amount of time, as he has had knee surgery. 

Hernandez has spent the 2022 season with Triple-A Worcester. He wasn't off to the best of starts, as he has a 0-1 record to go along with a 5.95 ERA in eight games. He was working to land himself an eventual call-up to the major league squad, but for now, that has to be put on pause.

Hernandez appeared in 48 games last season with Boston. Overall, he certainly had some strong moments, as he put together a 2-2 record and 3.38 ERA. Here's to hoping he has a speedy recovery and can return to the mound before the season is done.
