Rangers Send Outfielder Down To Triple-A
The Texas Rangers have sent Nick Solak down to Triple-A Round Rock.
Solak hasn't put together the best of seasons in 2022 thus far, as he has two home runs, three RBIs, and a .209 batting average. Furthermore, with the additions of Corey Seager and Marcus Semien this offseason, he was moved to the outfield from second base. With all of this, perhaps a move back down to Triple-A could have been predicted.
Although it is discouraging for Solak to be back in Triple-A, that certainly doesn't automatically mean that he will stay there for the rest of the year. The 27-year-old is has spent each of the last four seasons with Texas, so if injuries arise, don't be surprised to see him back in the majors. In 244 career games with the team, he has 20 home runs, 92 RBIs, and a .253 batting average.
