Pirates Claim Pitcher Off Waivers

The Pittsburgh Pirates have claimed Tyler Beede off waivers from the San Francisco Giants.

Beede has spent the entirety of his four-year MLB career with the Giants, but he will now be sporting black and yellow from here. In 33 career games with the Giants, he has a 5-11 record and 5.39. He has been utilized as both a starter and reliever during his career, so it will be intriguing to see how Pittsburgh decides to use him. 

Beede has pitched in six games for the Giants this season, where he has a 0-0 record and 4.66 ERA. It will be intriguing to see if this change of scenery ends up benefitting him from here. Alas, time will tell what happens on that front.
