Phillies Infielder Placed On Injured List
Philadelphia Phillies infielder Didi Gregorius has been placed on the 10-day injured list due to a knee sprain.
After a disastrous 2021 season that saw him sport a. 209 batting average, Gregorious has been bouncing back thus far this year. In 18 games, he has a solid .288 batting average to go along with seven RBIs. Although he hasn't hit any home runs, he has still been quite effective at the plate.
This is pretty rough news for the Phillies. At this point of the season, they have an underwhelming 11-15 record and are fourth in the NL Central. They need to turn things around quickly and now will be without one of their starting infielders. Here's to hoping Gregorius will be good to go by the time this stint on the IL is over.
