Orioles Sign Pitcher

The Baltimore Orioles have signed Hector Perez to a minor league deal. 

With Baltimore near the bottom of the MLB standings, there's certainly no harm in them taking a look at Perez. At this juncture, it's hard to determine if he will land an eventual call-up. Yet, if he puts together some strong performances down in the minors, there's reason to believe he could get one.

Perez is a pitcher who is very much aiming to cement himself as a major league pitcher. His lone MLB appearance occurred during the 2020 season with the Toronto Blue Jays. During it, the 25-year-old allowed two runs in 1.2 innings pitched.
