Orioles Pitcher Out Long Term
The injury bug is continuing to hit the Baltimore Orioles hard. Pitcher Alexander Wells will be out for the next eight to 12 weeks due to a Grade 1 UCL sprain.
Wells is currently in his second season with the Orioles, so he is very much still trying to cement himself a permanent spot - whether it's in their bullpen or rotation. In his two appearances this campaign, he has a 4.91 ERA.
Although missing that amount of time is certainly not ideal, the severity of his injury could have been a lot worse. Given this estimated recovery time, he should be able to return before the season is completed. Once he does, he will be aiming to build on his overall major league experience.
