Nationals Designate Pitcher For Assignment
The Washington Nationals have designated Aaron Sanchez for assignment.
Sanchez joined the Nationals for the 2022 season, and it's fair to say that he has struggled significantly since. In seven starts with the team, he had a 3-3 record and a very high 8.33 ERA. Due to this, it probably isn't too surprising to see that the Nationals have decided to remove him from their 40-man roster.
Another club could elect to take a chance on Sanchez, though. He has a strong and lengthy MLB resume, so that does help his chances of finding work again. In 166 career games between the Blue Jays, Astros, Giants, and Nationals, he has a 38-37 record and 4.14 ERA. With that, he is a one-time All-Star and a one-time ERA Title winner.
