MLB Rumors: Rangers Outfielder Requests Trade
After being demoted to Triple-A, Willie Calhoun told reporters that he wants to be traded by the Texas Rangers.
After hitting 21 home runs and sporting a .269 batting average in 83 games with the Rangers in 2019, Calhoun has not come close to those totals since. As a result of this, he hasn't been able to cement himself as an everyday player in the majors. However, perhaps a change of scenery could be exactly what he needs to take that next step.
The 2022 season hasn't been off to a good start for Calhoun, though. In 18 games, he has one home run, two RBIs, and a .136 batting average. Yet, there could be teams out there willing to take a chance on him when looking at his past success. Alas, this is something to keep a close eye on moving forward.
