MLB Rumors: Orioles To Trade DH

Baltimore Orioles DH Trey Mancini has a mutual option with the team to return for the 2023 season. However, with the Orioles once again being at the bottom of the AL East, it wouldn't be surprising to see him want to sign elsewhere next year. Due to this, don't be surprised to see the Orioles look to move him before the deadline.

Although Mancini has not been much of a power threat this season, he is still doing quite well at the plate. In 46 games thus far, he has three home runs, 18 RBIs, and an impressive .309 batting average.

Yet, when looking at his resume of being a consistent 20-to-30 home run hitter, there's reason to believe he will hit more as the year progresses. Naturally, this will make teams call about his services even more.

Alas, we will have to wait and see if the Orioles elect to move the 2021 AL Comeback Player of the Year.
