MLB Rumors: 3 Potential Landing Spots For Luis Castillo

Luis Castillo has been in the rumor mill for quite some time. The Reds have yet to move him, but when looking at how atrocious their 2022 season has been, now may finally be the time where they pull the trigger. As we get closer to the trade deadline, this is a storyline to follow. If Castillo is made available, here are three teams who should be calling.

New York Yankees: The Yankees have been off to an excellent start in 2022. They sport the best record in baseball (18-7) and of course are famous for being massive buyers. With this team expecting nothing less than a World Series championship, they should be looking to add another All-Star pitcher to their rotation. Castillo would be a perfect choice.

Los Angeles Angels: After years of mediocrity, the Angels finally look like a playoff team. At this juncture, they have a 16-10 record. They have two franchise players in Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani, but if they want to cement themselves as contenders, they should look to be busy this deadline season. Castillo would be a great way to help with that.

Minnesota Twins: The Twins look like they could return to the playoffs this spring. They are at the top of the AL Central and have won eight out of their 10 games. If this trend can continue as the year progresses, they should be aggressive before the playoffs. Adding Castillo to their rotation would be huge for them.
