Mets And Guardians Complete Trade
The New York Mets have acquired Daniel Johnson from the Cleveland Guardians in exchange for cash.
Johnson is now set to join Triple-A Syracuse from here. He has spent the entirety of this season with Triple-A Columbus, where he has three home runs, 11 RBIs, and a .217 batting average in 17 games. Overall, it's been a slow start for him, but perhaps the change of scenery will benefit him.
At a minimum, Johnson will provide the Mets with more outfield depth from here. In 35 career games with Cleveland, he has four home runs, five RBIs, and a .202 batting average.
