Marlins Pitcher Placed On Injured List

Miami Marlins pitcher Anthony Bender has been placed on the 15-day injured list because of back stiffness. 

Bender is currently in his second professional season with the Marlins. In 16 appearances on the year, he has a 1-3 record to go along with a 4.50 ERA. With numbers like these, it's fair to say that he's had mixed results in 2022. Yet, when remembering that he sported a 2.79 ERA in 60 games last season, there's reason to believe that he can bounce back a bit as the year progresses.

It's never a good thing to lose a reliever to injury, and this is especially true when they are often utilized like Bender. Here's to hoping he can return to the mound as soon as these 15 days are up.
