Marlins Call Up Infielder
The Miami Marlins have called up Joe Dunand from Triple-A.
Dunand made his major league debut for the Marlins yesterday and left an excellent first impression. In four at-bats, he had two hits - a double and a home run. That's a very good way for him to being his career, and it will be intriguing to see what he does for an encore.
Dunand's versatility also could help his chances of sticking on the major league roster from here. He's able to play shortstop, third base, and second base if needed, so there are several ways for him to get into the lineup. We will have to wait and see what happens with the 26-year-old from here.
