Mariners And Giants Complete Trade

The Seattle Mariners have traded Stuart Fairchild to the San Francisco Giants for Alex Blandino and cash.

With this move, Fairchild is set to join his third team of the 2022 season. He started this campaign with the Arizona Diamondbacks but did not appear in a team with the club before being designated for assignment. With his hometown Mariners, however, he went hitless in three at-bats over three games. Now, he will be hoping to get into some action for the Giants from here.

Blandino did not play a game with the Giants this season but has previous MLB experience. He last appeared in the majors during the 2021 season with the Reds. In 135 career games with Cincinnati, he has two home runs, 16 RBIs, and a .226 batting average. He will be hoping to land a call-up with the Mariners from here.
