Guardians Infielder To Miss Time
Cleveland Guardians infielder Gabriel Arias will be out for multiple weeks due to a hand fracture.
This is hard to hear, as Arias has been making a case for himself to secure a permanent spot on Cleveland's roster. The top prospect played his first two games with the team this season. In eight at-bats, he had one hit and an RBI. Although he found himself back in Triple-A, another call-up seemed likely. Yet, that now has to be put on pause.
Once Arias is healthy, it will be intriguing to see if the Guardians place him back on their major league roster. He is coming off of a good season down in Triple-A, so it will have to be at least considered. In 115 games with the team, he had 13 home runs, 55 RBIs, and a .284 batting average.
