Giants Promote Pitcher

The San Francisco Giants have promoted Sean Hjelle from Triple-A.

Immediately after his call-up, Hjelle made his debut for the Giants during Friday's contest against the Cardinals. It went quite well for the 6-foot-11, well, giant. He pitched a scoreless inning and looked very confident in the process.

Hjelle will now be looking to stay on the team's major league roster from here. The 25-year-old is viewed as having a lot of potential and could blossom into an important part of their bullpen for many years. We will have to wait and see how he performs from here.
