Giants Designate Pitcher For Assignment

The San Francisco Giants have designated Tyler Beede for assignment. 

Beede was selected with the 14th-overall pick of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Giants. However, he has had trouble cementing himself as a full-time major league pitcher since then. In 33 games over four seasons with San Fran, he has a 5-11 record and 5.39 ERA.

When called upon this season, Beede has had mixed results, In his six appearances on the year, he has a 0-0 record and 4.66 ERA. It will be intriguing to see if another team elects to claim him off waivers from here. Perhaps a change of scenery could get him back on track.
