Dodgers Pitcher To Have Surgery

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Victor Gonzalez is set to have elbow surgery. With this, Gonzalez hasn't been ruled out for the season yet, but an expected recovery time has not yet been established. 

Gonzalez hasn't pitched this season with the Dodgers due to his current injury. He certainly is a reliever who they would love to have right now, as he put together two strong first seasons in the majors. In 59 career games thus far, he has a 6-1 record and 2.75 ERA. 

The Dodgers will be hoping that Gonzalez can return during this season. At this point of the year, they have a 19-7 record and look destined to make another push for the World Series. Thankfully for both him and the Dodgers, the baseball season is far from over, so he has plenty of time to recover from here.
