Diamondbacks Call Up Infielder
The Arizona Diamondbacks have called up Jake Hager to their major league roster.
With this development, Hager is set to make his season debut for the Diamondbacks. He began his MLB career last season, where he split time with the New York Mets and Diamondbacks. In 14 games on the year, he had zero home runs, two RBIs, and a .115 batting average. Although he didn’t dominate in 2021, he will be aiming to stay in Arizona this time around.
Hager offers solid versatility, so that definitely could help his chances of maintaining his spot on Arizona’s major league roster. He’s capable of playing both second base and the outfield, so he’s simply a good depth player to have around. If he has more success at the plate this year, it’ll help his chances of staying in Arizona as a utility player.
