Diamondbacks Call Up Catcher

The Arizona Diamondbacks have called up Grayson Greiner to their major league roster.

This is big news for Greiner, as he originally signed a minor league contract with the Diamondbacks during the offseason. However, due to his strong play in Triple-A Reno, he has earned himself this call-up. In 10 games with the squad, he had one home run, five RBIs, and a .351 batting average. 

Although Greiner settled for a minor league contract this offseason, he certainly is a player with experience. Over the last four seasons with the Detroit Tigers, he had nine home runs, 46 RBIs, and a .201 batting average. Let's see how these numbers change now that he's in Arizona.
